Education

A key aim of the network is to work with all our units to ensure critical care workforce training and education requirements are met to ensure patients receive high quality and safe care.

As a network core team, we support and review the training needs of our units’ workforce, sharing learning and practice issues with Education leads and NHS England Workforce and Training Health. Furthermore, we support the delivery and funding of educational activities within Critical care units.

We help in the development of national and regional standards for national competency-based training and  ensure all national critical care  workforce education standards are met within all our units

Our educator group helps to standardise the assessment process and educational material used within the network, sharing any common educational issues/needs as they may arise across the network and with Higher Education Institutions.
