Transfer Group

This is multi-professional group involving all adult critical care units in the Network working alongside our Ambulance Trust providers and our CMCCN transfer vehicle provider.  

The aims of the group is to oversee all adult critical care transfers across CMCCN, including those from Emergency Departments, clinical and capacity transfers, and repatriations. 

This group aims to ensure equipment, policies and training are standardised across the Network and are aligned with national guidelines where appropriate. 

It is also a forum  to discuss and review any transfer-related critical incidents and ensure learning is disseminated across the Network. 

Learning is shared to promote best practice in both inter- and intra-hospital transfers. 

Meetings

Meetings are held quarterly – both virtually and face to face.
